- Land Lottery Records at the Georgia Archives – includes information and eligibility requirements for all 8 lotteries
- District Plats of Survey – Plat maps made from original 1831 surveys of Cherokee territory; this is where you can find out what types of trees were on your land, including chestnuts!
- District Survey Field Notebooks – Actual surveyors’ notebooks for the various land lotteries
